Chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, decompression, and shockwave are different answers to different findings. A joint that has stopped moving needs an adjustment. A disc pressing on a nerve root may need decompression, where a rotary adjustment would be too aggressive. A tendon that has failed to heal for eight months is a shockwave question. Muscle that keeps pulling a corrected joint back out of position is a soft tissue question. Treating all of those the same way is how people end up on a twenty-visit plan that never quite works.
